ABOUT THE SHOW

Hello Fashion designers, we got the lights, we’ve got the cameras so we’re just waiting on YOUR action…

The Fashion show is a part of the “The WENA INTERNATIONAL TRADE FAIR: NEW VOICES, NEW TRADE”. The aim of the fashion show is not just to educate, entertain, inform and enlighten about beauty but also to show case what beauty is and what it means in various new minds, each designers and their opinion about beauty.

Are you a fashion designer? Established or new in the industry? Well The NVNT fashion show is looking for YOU.

Registration costs a token of N100,000 and there are amazing prices to be won.

FASHION SHOW THEME

The theme of the fashion show is Afrocentric fashion. Afrocentric fashion is a fusion of African dissonance into the clothing apparel, showcasing prominent aspect of culture and values. It’s an expression of oneself and being with innovative African fashion; by piecing elements of ancient Africa together to form a cloth i.e Ankara

COMPETITION REQUIREMENTS

Each submitted application must be original material created by but not necessarily manufactured by the Contest. By entering the Contest, designers represents, acknowledges and warrants that he or she has full power and authority to enter the work, and that the work does not infringe any copyright or violate any other intellectual property rights.

Contestants are required to use the African fabrics in other to promote the theme of the show
Contestants are required to create a mood board complete with inspiration of four original designs and one that aligns with the fashion style of HER EXCELLENCY MARYAM IBRAHIM BABANGIDA MIB

Contestants must submit 10 minutes of music of their choice which will be played during their segment of the fashion show
Contestants are required to work with the provided models, hairstylist and makeup artist for the show.
